Presley Sorah Announces ARCA Menards Series Start at Home Track

Cambridge City, IN, June 17th, 2024 – ARCA Menards Series driver Presley Sorah will compete in his home race, the Circle City 200, on July 19th, 2024, at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park. Sorah will pilot the Fast Track Racing No. 12 Toyota Camry, owned by fellow Indiana native, and 1995 ARCA Menards Series champion, Andy Hillenburg.

Sorah, making his fourth career start in the ARCA Menards Series platform, is ecstatic about the opportunity to race in front of a home state crowd. “Racing at IRP this year has been one of my number one goals for the season. I think it will be a track I can really excel at, and truly show my pace” Presley stated. With three starts under his belt already this season, Fast Track Racing (2) and Clubb Racing Inc. (1), Presley believes he’s well prepared to tackle the opportunity. “With every lap I turn behind the wheel of an ARCA car, my confidence improves tenfold. I’m starting to get really comfortable and familiar with the driving characteristics of the car, and can’t wait to put everything to the test next month in Indy.”

The 20-year-old is no stranger to racing in the Indianapolis area. Sorah won Rookie of the Year in the Indianapolis Soap Box derby at the age of 10, then spent several years racing go karts at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Indiana State Fairgrounds, and most recently with a pair of starts at Circle City Raceway in 2023. Presley will now elevate it to the national level, competing in front of fellow Hoosiers on July 19th in the ARCA Menards Series.

“I raced late models all throughout Indiana last year, but with ARCA being a traveling series, getting the chance to compete at home is a completely different kind of special. I’ve always been very passionate about where I’m from, because I truly believe Hoosiers are the best race fans of anyone in the country. My idol as a kid was Tony Stewart, largely in part because of his Indiana heritage and ability to race anything on wheels. I hope to follow in his footsteps as I continue my progress up the NASCAR ladder in years to come.”

Sorah’s three ARCA Menards Series starts this season came at Five Flags Speedway, Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway, and Iowa Speedway, with a test at Daytona International Speedway in January with Wayne Peterson Motorsports on his resume as well. Having competed on a part time basis in the ARCA Menards Series East this season (3/5 races), Presley currently sits 14th in the series standings.

Presley will represent sponsorship from the Layin Coin Podcast on the lower quarter panel of his #12 machine, as has been the case for his previous starts this year. Associate sponsors include Humms Transport LLC, Maconi Setup Shop LLC, Ripps Design & Photography, Golay Community Center Pickleball, Fudge Foundation, Annabelle's Cakes, and more TBD. Primary sponsorship of the car, and final paint scheme, will be announced at a later date. Partnerships for the race are still welcome, and all interested parties can contact Presley via X, Instagram, and TikTok (@PresleySorah), Facebook (Presley Sorah), or by email at presleysorahracing@gmail.com

Tickets for the Circle City 200 at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park are available for $35 (General Admission) and $45 (Reserved). Live broadcasting of the event will be available on Fox Sports 1, Flo Racing, and the Fox Sports App, with radio streaming on MRN.
